Teabags and thread, 2006-Present

For years I have collected used tea bags, rescuing each bag from its discarded state and reassigning value within an art context. Each tea bag embodies a time spent over a cup of tea, and acts as a memoire of that time. I dry each bag, empty it of its contents and hand stitch it to other bags, forming a larger, ghostlike collection of moments.
