Undone

Unraveled clothing, found objects, 2006

Each ball of yarn was once a sweater, mitten or hat belonging to a family member or friend. I unravel each article of clothing and wrap it into a tightly wound ball which awaits reuse. Each ball is stored and labeled according to its former life: “Big Daddy’s old cardigan”, “Tim’s gloves”, “The ugly sweater no one wanted”.
